The stone carver at the Cathedral, Jock Forbes erected a cross with two burnt woods left after the Cathedral was bombed. He actually found them lying in the shape of a cross. The provost of Coventry also created a cross from nails of a supporting structure of the Cathedral’s roof. This Nail Cross with was erected at the altar of the newly built Cathedral is very symbolic.
