Here is another highly significant historical architecture you can’t miss seeing when you visit Vernazza. As you approach the village by the coast, you’ll see it sitting right on top of the hills, ahead of the colorful buildings. The castle was built in the 15th century to help protect the people of the village from rampaging pirates. If you’re interested in history, going to the top to see the castle closer is a great idea.
