The present site was built in the archaic ruins of an earlier church. A woman of noble birth funded the first cathedral, and it featured a breathtaking Romanesque design. The nave had a truss rood and a tiny bell tower. In addition to the tiny bell tower, there was a sacristy and three chapels. The chapels were dedicated to Our Lady of the Rosary, the Crucifix and Our Lady of Mount Carmel. Click the next ARROW to see the next photo!
