Located in the region of Alba, Piedmont in Italy is the enormous Alba Cathedral. The basilica which serves as the episcopal seat of the city’s diocese is of Roman Catholic descent. These are some interesting facts about the cathedral which dominates the heart of the Piazza Risorgimento. There are numerous stories which trail this cathedral, but one which stands out is the story of Reverend Father Alberione. It was during New Years’ Eve celebration of 1900 where Alberione reported that he was visited by God, instructing him to do something for humanity in the new century.
