The cathedral is home to some religious artifacts, relics, and reliefs. It contains a Byzantine crypt, some frescoes, a 6th century Byzantine bas relief and altar, a crucifix. The Byzantine bas relief is of Coptic-Egyptian origin. It depicts the Virgin Mary and the Child surrounded by famous Archangels, Michael and Gabriel. The quaint frescoes which can be traced back to the Middle Ages are very enchanting. Looking at the frescoes will make you feel as though you stepped back in time.
