The 10th century is much older than the cathedral is one of the most unique places in the cathedral. The pillars in the crypt have an eccentric arrangement pattern. The pillars split the space in the crypt into nine narrow aisles. The infamous pillars also have so bold zoomorphic prints carved on them. The crypt has a sacellum in its middle which is a replica of the sacellum in the Holy Sephulcre. The crypt houses a stone stained with blood. Legend has it that the stone was brought in from the Holy Sephulcre in Jerusalem and it was one of the stones used to stone Jesus Christ as he was led to cross.
