One of the most important buildings in the village, the couch’s house, is a place that belonged to the naturalist Jonathan Couch. Before him, many members of the Quiller family, most of which are known for smuggling, lived in this place. Many people love to come here to learn about how people in those days did smuggling and buccaneering.
