Built in the year 1937, the lighthouse has remained one of the major attractions for people visiting Ortona. It consists of an octagonal prism tower 24 meters (79 ft) high and painted black and white horizontal bands. At the moment, the lighthouse is managed by Marina Militare, and it is fully automated.
