After the Herculaneum got destroyed, a city was built on the lava erupted by Mt. Vesuvius. The beautiful city which now sits on the ancient ruins of the Herculaneum is called the Ercolano. The medieval time at one time was also called was Resina. Click the next ARROW to see the next photo!
