Vigevano Cathedral situated in the Piazza Ducale of Vigevano in Italy is a Roman Catholic cathedral which is dedicated to Saint Ambrose. This cathedral is where the Bishop of Vigevano is based. The current building has been in existence since the 16th century, including a west front of the 1670’s. In the year 1530, Duke Francesco II Sforza commissioned the present structure which is dedicated to Saint Ambrose. The cathedral designed by Antonio da Lonate was first constructed in 1532 but was left incomplete. In 1606, the building of the cathedral was eventually completed and then consecrated on April 24, 1612. Click the next ARROW to see the next photo!
