The statue of liberty is a gigantic structure in the shape of a woman that seats on the New York Harbor. The French gave the figure as a gift to America over a century ago, and it has become one of the country’s famous iconic symbols. The ‘Lady Liberty’ as it is fondly called has undergone so much renovation in the 130 years she was brought in as a gift from France. These are some interesting facts you should know about the statue. The Statue of Liberty inspired the Ticker Tape Parade in New York City.
