Scotland and Tenerife have something in common, a flag. Tenerife’s flag features a white saltire on a blue colored background. There are claims as to why the flags are the same. Scotland and Tenerife have the same patron, Saint Andrew. Saint Andrew popularly called Saint Andres in Tenerife was crucified in an X-shaped Cross hence the X-shaped white stripe on the flag.
