The Taj Mahal was scaffolded during the Second World War to prevent bomb attacks. Scaffolds were used to cover the building to make it resemble a heap of bamboo. After the twin towers were bombed in America, a green cloth was spread over it to disguise it from invaders. The Indians also decided to hide the Mausoleum from the Pakistanis in 1971 during the Pakistani- Indian war.
