St. Maarten also popularly referred to as St. Martin is an island located in the Caribbean. The names are used interchangeably because of the two countries that lay claim to the Island. St. Maarten is a beautiful island with a unique airport situated close to a beach; these are some facts about the Island that you might not know. St. Maarten is the smallest island in the world that is bounded by two countries. These countries are the Netherlands and France. The Island’s total size is 37 squares miles.
