On the northern part of the square lies a number of neoclassical buildings, one of which is Hotel de Crillon. Despite the fact that a Guillotine was set up close to the doorsteps, the count of Crillon held on to it throughout the French Revolution. It was however later converted to a luxury hotel in the 20th century and has remained so until now. Click the next ARROW to see the next photo!
