6The Enlargement of the church

Architect Rainaldo directed the enlargement of the cathedral in the early twelfth century. The length of the nave was increased by adding three bays which are in uniform with the original Buscheto style. The transept was also enlarged. Rainaldo also drew out a plan on the new façade that was finished by workers directed by sculptors Biduino and Guglielmo. Click the next ARROW to see the next photo!
