Easter Island is a breathtaking, mystical island that is located in Chile. It is one of the remotest islands of the world located along the coastline of the South Eastern side of the Pacific Ocean. It is very close to Pitcairn, an isolated community. Easter Island is very, very far. These are some interesting facts about the Island. Easter Island is known to be the home of the Moai. Moai are stone statues that were formed by volcanic rocks in the Rano Raraku region of the Easter Island. Moai are usually called ‘heads’ even though they possess arms and a body.
