2Fascinating Frescoes

The interior part of the cathedral is home to important masterpieces. The oldest of them are the frescoes portraying the stories of Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, as well as Joseph in the northern and southern transept vaults. The frescoes date back from late 14th to early 15th century. In the mid-sixteenth century, some Mannerist painters (Bernardino Campi, Gatti, among others) added other frescoes. Also, in the seventeenth century, Il Genovesino added a fresco portraying the Life of St. Roch in the northern transept. Click the next ARROW to see the next photo!
