The central portal of the Amalfi cathedral was installed with a beautiful set of medieval bronze doors, which is the first to be used in Italy. Simeon of Syria produced the bronze doors in Constantinople about 1060 after which they were commissioned by a well-to-do Amalfi merchant. Click the next ARROW to see the next photo!
