As you approach Monteriggioni you couldn’t help but notice the 14 towers that are built along with the walls of the city. It is on these towers that soldiers stand to help defend the town against foreign attack. Obviously, the elevation is an advantage crucial to understanding the movements of the attacking force and how to neutralize them before they cause any damage.
