Aosta Cathedral is the episcopal seat of Aosta Diocese. Constructed in the fourth century, this Roman Catholic cathedral lies in Aosta, in the north-western part of Italy. Here are the interesting facts to help understand its history. The original building of the Cathedral was erected just before the end of the fourth century. The pre-existing complex devoted to the Christian faith was a building of impressive dimensions. It featured one apsidal nave, accomplished with a baptistery towards the west, as well as numerous annexed rooms.
