Arc de Triomphe is one of the most important monuments in France. Built in the year 1806 and standing 50 meters, the arc is special because it covers the tomb of an unknown soldier. Here are 10 reasons why thousands of tourists visit this place every year. Before construction, there were plans to construct a building that looks like an elephant, on that spot. Architect Charles Ribart proposed the idea that will include a spiral staircase, air conditioning, and a drainage system.
