The Omodeo lake, which was created between Barigadu and Montiferru is the biggest lake in Italy and is arguably one of the largest in Europe. The lake was able to regain its old vitality due to the heavy rains of the last two years. It is only during the periods of height dryness that it is possible to see some of the archaeological remains of the ancient generations – some of which were developed around 30 million years ago.
