The Lake Omodeo used to be the location of the old Zuri village. This village was dismantled and rebuilt with the same materials on the higher ground. This was also done in the case of the ancient Romanesque Church of San Pietro. It was taken apart and rebuilt stone by stone – you could hardly tell the difference.
