The verb “canter” which means moving at a fast but comfortable speed(by a horse) was coined from this Church. It is actually the shortened form of “Canterbury pace.” Canterbury pace is the walking pace adopted by pilgrims of the Middle Ages. Click the next ARROW to see the next photo!
